Born August 9, 1949 in Richfield, Utah to Norman J. and Marjorie Powell Fuellenbach.

He was next to the youngest of four children. Mark was a graduate of Richfield High School. Married Penny Mills on July 2, 1971. They were later divorced. Mark then married Mari Bell Tree on May 20, 2005.

Mark was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. Mark's greatest loves were spending time at the cabin at Fish Lake, four-wheeling in the mountains with Mari, puttering in his woodshop and playing with his grandchildr en.

Mark proudly served as a member of the Utah National Guard, retiring as a Colonel.

He was an Honorary Colonel of the Utah Highway Patrol, charter member of the Sevier County Jeep Posse, Chairman of the Sevier Valley Hospital Board, Rotarian, board of directors for Zion's Bank, charter member of the Sevier County EMTs, membe r of the Utah State Record's Committee, former president of the Utah Press Association and long-time publisher of the Richfield Reaper. We could go on, but Mark would be unhappy with us for elaborating.

Survived by his loving wife, Mari, children Shawn (Yvonne) Fuellenbach, Draper; Lisa Fuellenbach, St. George; and Heidi Fuellenbach, Salt Lake City; stepchildren: Ryan Schow, Tigard, OR; Dan (Ema) Tree, Salt Lake City; mother: Marge, Richfield; si sters: Sue (Dick) Buys of Heber City; Jan (Kraig) Patterson, Salt Lake City, the late Judy (Morrill) Stout, St. George; and brother Kent (Robin) Fuellenbach, Salmon, ID. Also survived by grandchildren Kallie and Cannon Fuellenbach and CJ, Abby, Ka ylee, and Tyler Evenhuis.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Richfield Tabernacle (195 West Center Street). Friends may call on Friday evening, April 24, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Magleby Mortuary (50 South 100 West), and aga in from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Mortuary. Interment will be at the Richfield City Cemetery with Full Military Rites accorded by the Battery A 2nd Battalion 222 Field Artillery. Published in the Deseret News on 4/24/2009.
