Livingston Rasmussen. He was a delightful child, always curious and finding ways to get into mischief. He was taught early to have a good work ethic and to accomplish that whi ch was important to life. He was a hard worker and did so very well; if he said he would do something, it was done! He graduated from Orem High School. Life's Work/Service/Interests: Michael attended Brigham Young University and served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Florida Tallahassee Mission from 1973 to 1975. Michael married his best friend and sweetheart , Elyn Boot, whom he adored, in the Provo Utah LDS Temple on July 30, 1976. An active member of the Church, he served in numerous callings throughout his life. He lived a life dedicated to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and had a great love for th e scriptures and was a Gospel scholar. He had a great love for his family; they were everything to him and he loved them with his whole heart. He loved the temple and attended regularly. He and Elyn served as temple ordinance workers. Michae l’s occupation was in financial services in Salt Lake and Utah Counties. He was extremely friendly and knew everyone; if he did not know you, he soon did! He made everyone with whom he came in contact feel loved and important. Michael lived a lif e committed to serving, quick with a helping hand and always there when needed. He saw the good in others. He loved sports, especially baseball, which he played and coached. He was a New York Yankee super fan and saw to it that his family followe d suit. All Yankees!! Michael Ray Rasmussen, a much loved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend, passed from this life unexpectedly January 28, 2017. Survived By: His wife, Elyn; children: Brooke & Jeff Ferguson, Molly (Tyler), Shawna, Todd & Whitney, Trent and Chelsi, Taft and Chambrey, Tanner and Trisha, Mckell and Cameron Shumway; seventeen grandchildren, one great granddaughter; his mother , Lois Rasmussen; brothers: Jeffrey and Gregory; and sister, Kathy Ann.
