Education: Granite High School, 1938 | University of Utah Life's Work/Service/Interests: In 1942, LaMar married Vergia Thalman in Vermillion, Sevier County, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He enlisted and served in the United States Coast Guard in both the Atlanti c and Pacific Theaters during World War II. He received his BS Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Utah in 1950. Vergia and LaMar made their home in Lindon where they raised their nine children. He worked at Geneva Steel, re tiring in 1978. LaMar enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and enjoying the outdoors with family and friends. LaMar Dellwood Scott, of Lindon, Utah, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013, at his home. He was 93. Survived By: His wife, Vergia; eight children: Del (Darlene) Scott, Verla Legeman, Lane (Pamela) Scott, Margia (Pat) Flaa, Jes (Claire) Scott, LaDee Scott, Verg (Melody) Scott, Giala (Jay) Murdoch; 34 grandchildren and 70+ great-grandchildren; sib lings, June (Viv) White and Gardner (Kathy) Scott; sisters in law: Creta Robinson and Lael Thalman.
