Martha Mae Block Larsen 1887–1920 Pauline Buchanan Jensen, age 86, passed away peacefully in the midst of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, on March 17, 1998 in Salt Lake City.

Born October 25, 1911 in Sanford, Colorado, to George Niels and Martha Mae Block Larsen, she grew up in Vernal, Utah, and attended Brigham Young University, where she played in the Cougar Marching Band. She married Reuben W. Buchanan, Sept 3, 193 0 in the Manti Temple. He passed away in 1959. She married Duane C. Jensen in 1973. He passed away in 1988.She held leadership positions in many church and community organizations including the Mutual, president of the State Firemen's Auxiliary , president of the New Century Club, Carbon County Country Club and Golf Association, and many charitable groups. Professionally she served as the director of the School Lunch Program of the Carbon County School District, for many years.

She is survived by brothers and sisters, Grant (Gladys) Larsen, Lucy Hansen, Milton (Lois) Larsen, Gary (Shirley) Larsen, Don (Tamara) Larsen; and children, Bonnie Larsen, JoAnn (Donald) Barham, Jack (Nancy) Buchanan. She has 12 grandchildren , 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, 1998 at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Price, Utah. There will be a viewing at 11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. The interment will be at Price Cemetery. -Deseret News (UT) March 19, 1998
