Grace Elizabeth Cox Stokes 1888–1975

Our beloved Marion Elizabeth Stokes Jensen, passed away at Castle View Hospital on Nov. 17 2002 following a short illness. She was born Oct. 7, 1919 in Cleveland to William P. and Grace Elizabeth Cox Stokes. She was raised in Cleveland and graduat ed from Huntington High School. She also attended a year at Brigham Young University. She married James Maurice Jensen on Jan. 12, 1939 in Castle Dale and they were later sealed together in the Manti Temple. He passed away in 1981. arion enjoyed working on family history and operating several businesses with her husband in Emery County. She was a member of the LDS church and served in many positions including Relief Society president, Young Women's president, serving a missi on to the LDS Family History Library in Salt Lake City, and being a Manti Temple worker.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Mack) Potter of Price. Grandchildren; Jae (Lisa) Potter of Price, Mackae (Cheryl) Potter of North Odgen, Judith (Dave) Johnson of Cedar City, and Tom (Kristan) Potter of Huntington. Also 16 great-grandchildre n and a sister, Ruth (Dewey) Zubeck of Orem, two sisters-in law, Betty and Marjorie Stokes. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Wm. Lee Stokes, L. Grant Stokes, and an infant brother Max Stokes.

Funeral services were held Nov. 19 2002 at the Huntington Stake Center. Interment followed in the Cleveland Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary, Price. EMC Progress
