Note | He died suddenly and unexpectedly at his home Wednesday morning, November 10, 1999, of a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, Lorna of 39 1/2 years; two married sons, Mark and Frances of Houston; Scott and Teresa of Navasota; and two grandchi ldren, Courtney and Jens of Navasota; his mother, Bethine Petersen Thogersen; sister, Joyce Thogersen Thomson, and husband Don, and nieces, Christine and Julie Thomson of Denver, CO Terry graduated from Moorhead High School, Moorhead, IA in 1957 where his family were farmers. Terry earned a full basketball scholarship to attend Morningside College, Sioux City, IA. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Morningside College in196 1 with a B.S. Degree in Mathematics and coaching and earned a Masters Degree from Central Michigan University in 1965. He was a math teacher and basketball coach at Remsen Union High, Mapleton, LaMars and Marshalltown, IA, until 1972 when he joine d Fisher Controls in Marshalltown as an Industrial Instructor. In 1983, Terry accepted the position of Director of Education at Puffer-Sweiven in Stafford, TX and moved the family to Richmond, TX. Terry retired from Puffer- Sweiven in 1996 and wa s working for Taylor Technical Services as a Consultant at the time of his death. He was a member of Grace Community Bible Church and a member of Pecan Grove Country Club where he enjoyed and participated in the Men's Golf Association. He loved hi s family and friends!
